KIA Ora my name is Tanea and i am going to read you my speech.

Anzac is the acronym for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. It was a World War 1 army corps of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force that was formed in Egypt in 1915.
During the second world war (1939,1945) the 28th Maori battalion made up entirely of volunteers and my
great grandfather Thomas Webster was part of this great battle.

Some made it back and some didn't return but I am happy to say my great grandfather returned.

Thank you for hearing my speech.

  1. I loved your speech Tanea, and thank goodness your grandfather went to fight for us, so we have somewhere to live. I appreciate the information that you have included in your speech too. Kakaute Tanea.
